Each owner / skipper shall warrant the suitability of his yacht for the Regatta: accept full responsibility for the seaworthiness and safe navigation of the yacht, the competence of the crew, for judging whether to start, continue or retire from any race, for ensuring that all safety equipment is properly maintained, stowed and in date and that the crew know where it is to be kept and how it is to be used; and shall draw the attention of all members of the crew to all these conditions before racing.
