Architects Evans and Shalev's design for the Tate Gallery at St Ives takes the unique light of a dramatic natural setting and uses it to showcase the work of the artists it originally inspired.

Max Fordham and Partners used computer algorithms to calculate the positioning of the blinds so that natural light levels on the walls were maintained whilst direct sunlight was geometrically obscured.
