STUDIO HOUSE AT CHELSEA, LONDON This is a conversion of a dilapidated old stable structure into a studio/house for a painter and a photographer in a dense area of Chelsea which has a strong 19th century studio tradition. With the exception of the rear extension and most of the party walls, the building - including its roof - was totally demolished, the street facade being rebuilt with certain revisions to the original. The requirements and the nature of the site as a deep interior slot contributed to the working theme of a "house within a house". Facts and Figures |
