Responsible for property development and maintenance of company’s 150 UK and Irish retail outlets. Key achievements to date:-


    • Implemented new trading format and project manage roll outs.
    • Developed and introduced new methods and systems to achieve roll out programmes to meet company’s time and cost objectives
    • Reduced shopfitting costs in excess of £30 per square foot, to below £15 per square foot

BRITISH SHOE CORPORATION 1983-1996

The largest footwear retailer in he UK at the time, with sales of £650m p.a. and stores in excess of 1,000.

    • Project managed the company’s fashion fascias, to ensure that all image, cost and time objectives were satisfied
    • Implemented and project managed new image proposals for Dolcis in association with external design team
    • Developed new image proposals for Cable and Co., and project managed roll-out.
    • Implemented new trading format for Hush Puppies from initial conception and supervised roll-out
    • Developed and implemented new trading format for Shoe Express introducing new systems and methods to achieve high volume roll-out
    • Project managed new development in Selfridges in conduction with multi-discipline team to £1m budget
    • Supervised, developed and controlled Company’s Shopfitting Design team to ensure cost effective efficient operation
    • Implemented and managed Planning Supervision Duties under the C.D.M. Regulations
    • Surveyed properties and produced design drawings to assess commercial and financial viability of proposal
    • Produced working drawings, selected contractors and invited tenders
    • Appointed, controlled and assessed contractors
    • Supervised contracts to completion and final account, with strict monitoring of contractors’ performance throughout
    • Obtained all statutory and landlords’ approvals to shopfitting proposals
    • Controlled, monitored and authorised expenditure against Board authorised budgets of up to £3m p.a.
    • Project Managed and completed new image shopfitting programmes for Dolcis,1309 branches over a 3 year period to a budget of £7m
