Relevant Experience:

Carlisle Architects, RIBA part1, job title "Architectural Assistant". A medium sized practice that deals with a wide range of work from large scale commercial through to smaller scale residential and housing association. The practice benefits from a real team spirit, which meant that I was heavily involved at all stages of the many differing projects.

4 Design, 2 weeks CAD consultancy work.

Paskin Kyriakides Sands, architectural work experience 1996. The job involved using AutoCAD R13 to update existing drawings as well as producing presentation CAD work.

Winner of a competition in 1995 to design an architectural presence that would announce the Brighton Arts Festival in and around the Brighton Corn Exchange. The brief necessitated a free-standing structure that would be independent of the building and could be dismantled and reassembled with ease, in accordance with the festival’s timetable. The design was selected and realised, being completed in time for the 1996 Brighton Arts Festival.

Experience of working part-time for many trades including site work, stone masonry, painting and decorating.

I worked abroad for three months in 1995 at the Cretan resort of Malia (Greece).

Interests:

I am a keen sportsman, playing mainly rugby. I have represented my home county schools XV and have played at all levels throughout my education, including university. I also attend the local gym and swimming pool regularly.
