Work Experience 1987 to date:
Scott Tallon Walker Architects: Computer Experience On completion of my course at Bolton Street College of Technology, I joined Scott Tallon Walker Architects as a junior Architect. I developed an interest in Computers and was involved in setting up the first CAD stations in the Practice. I have worked consistently there for the last 11 years and am now in the position of Computer Manager and Network Administrator of the Practice. The practice currently has a Computer network of approx. 60 users. I have a full knowledge of current CAD systems, Graphics (Adobe Photoshop), DOS and Windows Operating systems, Back-up systems (Tape and Optical disk) and the Novell Intranetware 4.11 Network operating system. I also have a strong interest in the development of Corporate Websites and Internet technology in general, and have some experience in Web Design and HTML I have been involved during the last three years in obtaining the ISO 9000 qualification for the Practice, and in developing standard CAD procedures, layering conventions etc. for use within the practice. We are the first Architectural Office in the country to have achieved this qualification. My responsibility in this area is with regard to the Computer Department, Storage and Management of Files, Standard procedures and methods, Control of data etc. I am a former winner of AutoCAD CAD User of the Year. Scott Tallon Walker Architects: Architectural Experience I am currently involved in the new Citibank Development at Docklands in Dublin, a large highly serviced Office Development approx. 250,000 sq. ft. and to a value of approx. £40m. My responsibilities include Client Briefings, Production Information, Design Development, Client / Site Meetings. During the past 10 years I have worked as an Architect on the following major projects, with involvement in most cases from sketch Design stage through to completion:- O’Reilly Hall, Aula Maxima, University College Dublin. £ 3.34m Pre 1987: Student Work Experience Student Work Experience (Architectural) at Berkeley Homes, Pinner, Middlesex.
