OBJECTIVE

To gain a position in a practice which will give continued practical experience of design, site visits and client liaison prior to my final year of the Diploma course.


1995 - June 1996 BRIGHTON UNIVERSITY
My first year of the Diploma course was very intensive involving intensive four week projects. These included a Community Centre (a modification of an existing building), a small housing estate, interior design and detail construction projects. This also include a two week study tour of Europe visiting Frankfurt, Prague, Vienna, Graz, Munich and Stuttgart.
Mar 95-July 95 ANDREW HARRIS ASSOCIATES London
Full-time in the office and on site on various projects which included design, drawings and detailing. Projects have covered the major conversion of a large listed building in central London, housing and office conversions.
Dec 94-Mar 95 ALI-SHAUKAT & ASSOCIATES London
Resident Architectural Assistant for a residence refurbishment at St Georges Hospital Tooting. Duties were to liaise with the Site Foreman and Contract Manager to resolve any problems that may have occurred, report on progress and ensure the project ran on time.
1991-Jun 94 BRIGHTON UNIVERSITY
During my degree course I undertook a full range of projects including both conceptual and technical design.
These projects have included:
a) A tennis pavilion set in a park.
b) A doctors surgery in a suburban environment
c) A contemporary Arts Centre in a town centre
d) A landscaping project
During my final year I concentrated on a conceptual design for a theatre of regional cuisine set in Nimes. This project involved a site visit to view the environment and other contributing features. My final project was to design an HM Ambassadors residence in Moscow using a competition brief set in 1988.
