John Andrews
Raising Deep Space

The exhibition in the Front Members' Room is a personal distillation of drawings and designs by John Andrews, collated from a diverse projection of events and initiatives. Six years on, the resulting 'Deep Space' is an exposé of the conclusions of these ventures which included publishing, exhibitions, competitions and performances. Over this time, John Andrews linked experiment, travel, research, education and design, but for this lecture he will focus on the development and promotion of an 'architecture of the interior'. A student at Chelsea Art School and both student and Unit Master at the AA, John Andrews is currently Professor of Interior Architecture and Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.
