CIIG OrganisationOriginally formed in 1962 (as the Building Industry Libraries Group), CIIG has steadily expanded its scope and activities, and now has about 200 members in all parts of the UK.
Structure
CIIG has annually elected officers and an executive committee which organises events and publications. Local and specialist branches are encouraged, e.g. the Northern Ireland group, and the Freelance group which brings together members working freelance. The Annual General Meeting provides the opportunity for all members to discuss the group's activities and policies.
Participation
CIIG's success stems entirely from the voluntary efforts of our membership, and members' contributions are essential to our achievements, for example organising and reporting on meetings, writing for our publications.
Please note that we do not provide an information or enquiry service, although individual CIIG members may offer such services on a commercial basis.
