At BRE Ltd, I am responsible for the provision of library and information services throughout the company. I manage the Library of six staff which provides a technical and business enquiry service both for BRE staff and for external clients, and loan and purchasing services for staff. The Library prepares abstracts of BRE publications and journal articles for the BRIX and FLAIR databases which are available externally on EINS. I am developing knowledge management databases for internal use and an intranet service. I am also starting up and managing an Open Learning Centre for the company.

In previous posts, I have had experience of running a company Project Archive and in instigating an electronic photographic library.

I have also been involved in Global Engineering Networking Intelligent Access Libraries (GENIAL) – an EU funded project to devise a pan-European web based information system for the construction industry.
